ADR Istanbul

ADRIstanbul is a platform that provides service to quickly reach permanent, sustainable, high value-added agreements in private law disputes between institutions, organizations, investors, employers, and states.

In January 2026, ADRİstanbul will host two advanced-level training programs designed to deepen professional capacity in alternative dispute resolution. Developed for mediators, legal professionals, institutional representatives, and strategic decision-makers, these programs are led by internationally recognized experts and offer comprehensive content tailored to contemporary dispute resolution needs.

Mediation Advocacy Workshop / 16–18 January 2026

This workshop is designed for legal professionals who have completed basic mediation training and now seek to deepen their advocacy skills within mediation settings. The program focuses on client representation in complex disputes, interest-based negotiation strategies, and sustainable agreement design in cross-border contexts.

Through structured exercises and role plays based on real-world scenarios, participants gain hands-on skills that can be directly applied in professional settings. Ethical considerations, multi-stakeholder dynamics, and sustainability goals form an integral part of the learning framework.

Twinning Mediation and Arbitration Workshop / 21–23 January 2026

This training introduces hybrid dispute resolution models that integrate mediation and arbitration through sequential designs such as Med-Arb (mediation followed by arbitration) and Arb-Med-Arb (arbitration paused for mediation and resumed if needed).

Participants explore how these hybrid processes deliver faster, more confidential, and enforceable outcomes in commercial and organizational disputes. The program combines interactive sessions, case study analysis, process mapping, and resolution simulations.

Delivered by Leading International Trainers

Both workshops are delivered by Ferda Canözer Paksoy, Co-Founder of ADRİstanbul, and Thomas John MCIArb, Co-Founder of Resolution2Resolve.

Ferda Canözer Paksoy is an IMI Certified Mediator and cross-border dispute resolution specialist with a strong focus on multi-party negotiations and ethics-driven mediation frameworks. She is widely recognized for her leadership in mediation education design and delivery, both in Türkiye and internationally.

Thomas John MCIArb is an international mediator, arbitrator, and strategic conflict advisor with experience in commercial, investment, cultural, and intergovernmental disputes. With dual expertise in common law and civil law systems, he also directs one of the world’s most prestigious mediation competitions held annually in Vienna. He is a frequent lecturer at universities and delivers executive-level mediation trainings globally.
