Ferda Canözer Paksoy, founder of ADRİstanbul and a leading expert in commercial mediation, will take on two significant roles at the ICC Mediation Week 2026 to be held in Paris. Paksoy will serve as an evaluating judge in the competition and as a speaker at one of the week’s highlight sessions, Mediator Stories.
The Most Prestigious Global Event in Commercial Mediation
Organized annually by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris, the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition is the world’s largest educational event focused on commercial mediation.
This year’s event, to be held from 2 to 7 February 2026, will bring together university teams from 48 countries, over 150 professional mediators, and numerous academics. Students will collaborate with professionals in simulated mediation sessions to resolve fictional international commercial disputes. These sessions are guided and evaluated by respected experts in the field.
A Distinguished Expert Representing Türkiye on the Global Stage
This year marks Ferda Canözer Paksoy’s sixth time serving as a judge in the ICC Mediation Competition. For her, this role is not only an evaluative duty but also a meaningful opportunity to mentor and inspire a new generation of dispute resolution professionals.
On 6 February, she will also speak at Mediator Stories, a special session designed to share personal experiences and insights from mediators around the world. Inspired by Professor Lela Porter Love’s renowned Stories Mediators Tell series, the session offers a platform for practitioners to reflect on the human side of mediation.
