ICC Mediation Week / 3-8 February 2025
One of the most prestigious events in the world of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), the ICC Mediation Week, will take place in Paris from 3 to 8 February 2025. This international event brings together professional mediators, academics, and students from all corners of the globe to discuss the latest trends, innovative approaches, and best practices in ADR.
A Global Competition: ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition
As part of the week, the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition brings together 48 student teams and over 160 professional mediators. Students have the unique opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, working on cross-border commercial disputes. Meanwhile, professionals provide guidance and mentorship, helping young mediators refine their skills and grow.
This competition offers students a one-of-a-kind platform to experience the practical benefits and effectiveness of mediation. Although participation from Turkey in this prestigious competition remains limited, ICC Mediation Week plays a critical role in raising awareness about ADR methods and encouraging Turkish teams to take their place on this global stage.
Roundtable Discussions and Working Groups
Another key feature of the event is the Mediation Roundtable, which serves as a meeting point for ADR professionals. These sessions explore the latest developments, new methodologies, and innovative solutions in mediation. Additionally, the commercial dispute scenarios used during the competition are carefully crafted by expert working groups, ensuring the participants gain real-world insights and experience.
